Revolutionary Road
What goes on inside the Wheelers' household is too personal for anyone outside to understand. But the problems are all too human. The conflict does not revolve around a love-hate relationship, but one full of love--so much in fact, that the disputes come from finding common ground on which both man and wife can be secure in their expression of love.
Excellent performances by Leonardo di Caprio and Kate Winslet. I didn't feel inclined to side with one character over the other, which hit the point. Both characters were guilty but demanded sympathy, which made it impossible to identify the greater sinner. Nothing was exaggerated and my heartstrings didn't snap, yet I felt the tension throughout the movie. Revolutionary Road is intense in its honesty of the struggles shared between married couples. Definitely a must-see. Full movie
