Laneway Fest '09

This post is long delayed. I put up a note on Facebook earlier with lots of pictures that I took during the festival. It was considered a big flop by many--over-crowding, lack of toilet facilities and overall bad planning. It was frustrating because I wasn't allowed entry into the stage where big acts Architecture in Helsinki and Girl Talk were playing. The photos I took turned out well, though and have compensated for the disappointment. At the risk of a very messy blog, I have decided against posting the pictures on blogspot, but I'd appreciate it if you check them out here. I'd have to say that I'm quite impressed with my digital zoom of almost three years. I think I'll be ready for an SLR real soon.

I just posted an ad on musolist.com. I did it on impulse before I could change my mind. This is probably the boldest move I've made in a very long time. Definitely a big step of faith for me. I'm tired of waiting around passively for opportunities to come my way--got to get laziness and complacency out of my system. With this ad published, I'll be more conscious of making the effort to diligently pray and seek God about these creative dreams. After all, I'm responsible for these gifts and can't bury them forever. It's time to become active in my wait. I don't know what the outcome will be, but I believe that He will open or close doors at the right time.

Almost two years since they released an album, the Arctic Monkeys are still going strong. The crowd loved them, and so did we. Big thanks to Daniel for the free ticket!

Weekend

St. Jerome's is only a week away, but tonight, another week seems a long wait...I would love to watch a gig right now. Not Mark Barrage, though.
