This post comes three months late, but nonetheless. I have prepared a slideshow of Jonathan's pictures to accompany my song, "Eyes for You". I uploaded it to Facebook a week ago and was overwhelmed by the positive feedback received from friends. I also enjoyed a day of having the "#95 most viewed --musician (Australia)" channel on YouTube. However, as one friend put it, the song had made her depressed because she is not in love with anyone at present. To some extent, I must admit that I feel the same way, but in my case the feeling can be more accurately described as bittersweet than depressing. When I listen to the song, I want to fall in love---this being the effect, not the cause, of my own songwriting and composition. Thus I suppose I have accomplished something significant with my music, given that this assumption has been tested on myself.

After much consideration, I decided to sell the song on iTunes under the artist name, "Valerie Yap". I almost settled for a name which has no relationship to myself, such as "Zack", but changed my mind knowing that it would take me weeks to get personal with my male counterpart. I'm glad. Thank you Jesus for this opportunity which serves as a stepping stone towards something bigger which will culminate before I kiss 2011 goodbye. I write these words in faith as I have no idea what will happen or what this "something bigger" actually is. Amen!
